This was such a great idea, and I love the way you did it. The variety of models and faces is just fantastic. It's hard to look at this and NOT get into a good mood.
Eh! Sorry i read the "advanced critique encouraged" only after sending the previous post. Uhm...
I'd say that the idea, while not new is rather well executed. While some of the models are faking a bit too obviously i do not know if you chose them for their fake look to add more variation, so i cannot comment that. The use of a white background and dark clothes seems to me a very good choice because it helps underlining the subjects.
It might be just me (i'm all but a person with a good memory for faces), but the model in pictures 1,2 and 4 seems to be the same, spreading them over the full range of pictures might help the sense of variation. Another thing which would help is the presence of too many people laughing out loud, often with pictures very close together. It gives a sense of ritm to the composition as a whole but which does detract another bit from the variation.
I hope i did not misunderstand your work. In any case i gave my 2 cents for what they are worth

`karemelancholia is one of the most genuine deviants you could ever met. Always active and a true deviantART cheerleader and supporter in every aspect. You can always count on her to lend a hand or get involved, and you usually will find her doing large amounts of both at any given moment. She's consistently reports on contests around dA, showcases the efforts of her fellow artists and shows her charitable side through various activities. Besides all of this, she's a truly talented artist which is why she's an obvious choice for deviousness this month. Read More
